1970 – January 07; A HH-3E from the 37th ARRS, crewed by USCG Richard C. Butchka (P), Charles C. Adams (CP), Robert W. Edgar (FE), Eugene L. Nardi (PJ) and Dennis T. Duffy (PJ), rescued the WSO, 1st Lt. Dana F. Campbell, of an F-4E (Call sign “Gunfighter 55 Bravo”) after he had ejected from his aircraft, over the South China Sea, when it had a mid-air collision with another F-4E while on a training flight near Da Nang AB, RVN.
