1970 – January 17; A HH-53C from the 40th ARRS, crewed by Lt. Col. Allan Mateer (P), John H. Gill (CP), Maurice F. Tasker (FE), A. Mcfarr (PJ) and D. W. Crowder (PJ), rescued the pilot of an A-1H (Call sign “Sandy 04”), Capt. Terry F. Bolstad after he made an emergency landing at LS-22 in Laos.
