1970 – March 19; A HH-3E from the 37th ARRS, crewed by Maj. David E. Vaughan (P), James Z. Elkinton (CP), Claude C. Franks (FE) and Terry L. Wetzel (PJ), rescued the pilot of a F-100F (Call sign “Misty 50 Alpha”), Capt. Ernest L. Farnsworth (P) after he and his co-pilot, 1st Lt. James D.
