1970 – July 11; A HH-53C from the 37th ARRS, crewed by Maj. Harry S. Copperthite (P), Donald G. Beattie (CP), John C. Kriletich (FE), Gary T. Osborne (PJ) and Robert Reisig (PJ), rescued the pilot of a USMC TA-4F (Call sign “Playboy 45 Alpha”), Capt. Ronald T. Rasmussen, after he and his co-pilot, 1st Lt. Wallace W. Mills, ejected from their .50 cal. gunfire damaged aircraft in the A Shau Valley, RVN (See next entry). “Vietnam Air Losses” by Chris Hobson & “PJ’s in Vietnam” by Robert L.
