16 Sept 70… 39th ARRS Tuy Hoa moves its 11 HC-130P’s to Cam Ranh Bay. HH-3E assigned to 37th ARRS rescues an F-100 pilot. This is the last CSAR by an HH-3E assigned to Da Nang. The HH-53’s conduct all future pickups by the 37th.  (pjsinnam)
