On This Date in OLAA History

1970 – September 20; UH-1P gunships of the 20th SOS “Green Hornets”, one of which was UH-1P #63-13163 crewed by Capt Bud Jenkins (P), Capt. James D. Schuman (CP), TSgt. James W. Green (FM/AG) and unkn (AG), supported the extraction of a MACV SOG from deep in enemy held territory in RVN. The “Green Hornet” gunships were supporting VNAF H-34 “Kingbee” slick helicopters during this extraction. No other details are known at this time. “Secret Green Beret Commandos In Cambodia” by Lt.
