1970 – October 08; UH-1P gunships of the 20th SOS “Green Hornets”, one of which was UH-1P #63-13146 crewed by Capt Marion J. Messenger (P), Capt. Jenkins (CP), TSgt. James W. Green (FM/AG) and unkn (AG), supported VNAF CH-34 “Kingbee” helicopters in the insertion of a MACV SOG team deep in enemy held territory in Cambodia. No other details are known at this time. “Secret Green Beret Commandos In Cambodia” by Lt. Col. Fred S. Lindsey, USA (Ret.)
